Work Steps Powder


  1. Heat 1 liter of water to 70°C.
  2. Add 125 grams of indigo powder and stir until dissolved.
  3. Add 18 grams of sodium dithionite and 14 grams of soda ash, then stir again until well mixed.
  4. Cover the solution tightly and let it sit for 15 minutes.
b. Mixing the Dye Solution
  1. Meanwhile, prepare a separate mixture of 9 liters of clean water, 3.6 grams of soda ash, and 4.5 grams of sodium dithionite in a container.
  2. After 15 minutes, combine the prepared dye solution with this mixture and stir until well blended.
  3. Let the solution sit, covered, for 1 hour to allow optimal reduction.
c. Dyeing Process
  1. Submerge pre-washed fabric into the dye bath, ensuring even coverage.
  2. Remove and let it oxidize — Avoid direct sunlight.
  3. Repeat the dipping process until the desired shade of blue is achieved.
